On August 11, 2012, I ran my first half-marathon. I wasn’t sure what to expect. All I knew was that I wanted to perform at my best (and as you can see in the photo below, I was happy with my performance). While making my manual for race-day success, I realized that so many of the same strategies can help me achieve my best self in life and motherhood.

I’m streamlining things a bit and making it easier. From now on, there will only be one hashtag that you’ll ever use to participate in the challenge: #TMEIC.
Update: Wow. I’m thrilled at the response this post has had. Such sweet comments about it on Facebook, Twitter and the post itself. It has been “liked”, “shared” and retweeted over 1000 times and in more than one language. It was even blogged about and applied to running (I was thrilled, being a lover of running myself).
