A Creative Way To Capture Memories of Motherhood
I recently stumbled upon a beautiful thing: Bentlily.com by Samantha Reynolds. She presents the idea that the “art of noticing your life” can be done through a poem a day. She started the poetry movement with intentions of simply being present for all the precious moments of her baby’s first year. What a wicked way to savor the experience of being a mom!
Obviously, I have to jump on this poetry train. It’s too good to miss. I kicked things off with “Smiley Face”…
O the things I do just to make her smile. It gets embarrassing when I catch myself doing Donald Duck impressions in public. But that face…!
Well, that was fun. And I’m convinced that daily sonnets will make life even sweeter.
P.S. If you’d love to do it but think you have no time, Samantha Reynolds manages while running a multi-million dollar business!
I’d love to know what you think!
- Do you think poetry could help you be more tuned in, as a mother? Or do you already cherish these moments in your own way? (ie. through a baby book, photo’s…etc) Leave a reply in the comments below!
