What Makes This Day So Special?

Every year on the 25th of December…
We exchange more smiles and well-wishes with strangers.
We hug and kiss our loved ones more than we normally would.
We give gifts to family, friends, teachers, neighbours, the postal clerk.
We bring out our fancy cutlery.
We make an effort to look our best.
We sing.
We dance.
We call old friends in far away lands.
We give to the less fortunate.
We come together.

It’s a good feeling; it’s what makes this day so merry and bright.
Remember that we can pull out this recipe for joy on any day of the year.
