The Cutest Handmade Christmas Tutu

Today is an exception to Mama’s Music Mantra; it’s all music and no mantra. But it happens to be the theme song for the latest Tutu Mama tutu design, “The Peppermint Twist” tutu. The song pick: The Peppermint Twist by Joey Dee and the Starliters.  Now turn up those speakers, click play, and do the peppermint twist.
The Design

I knew I wanted to make a Christmas tutu that had an original design. The Christmas tutus with the red and green tulle have all been done before. But The Peppermint Tutu design is new on the scene. The tutu was a favourite among the little girls at the craft fairs. With red and green pom poms as embellishments, I wasn’t surprised.

The Photoshoot

This was the most fun I’ve had with Tiana in our tutu photoshoots with Ami Sanyal Photography. We were playing our “where’s your (insert body part here)?” game to make her smile. Her favourite body part? The nose. She finds it hilarious when I react to her sticking her finger in it…I have a feeling I’m setting myself up here for a future faux pas.
