While chatting about how adorable this baby is, my brother pointed out that Baby Emerson’s reaction is a great metaphor for risk-taking. He’s right. This video totally reminds me of how I feel when I’m taking myself out of my comfort zone! Honestly, if I was videotaped the day I opened my business, the only way you’d know you weren’t watching Emerson is the fact that I don’t have his blue eyes (and maybe a few other minor deets).   Or even the first time I put on rollerblades.  Hey, rollerblading is risky. I have scars to prove it…on my body and my ego!

So next time you feel faint with fear, you’re doing something right! Expect extreme happiness to kick in soon after!
